Person with Hep C, B, & Cirosis Nov 25, 2006 My boyfriend is in prison with one year left. He has had Hep C for about 6 years, found out he has Hep B 5 months ago, and found out he has cirosis of the liver about 10 months ago. Whats the average range as far as how many years could he still be alive at somewhat of a normal level of life. |

 His hepatitis B and hepatitis C have to be evaluated simultaneously to see which infection predominates. If he has cirrhosis, he will want to get an evaluation as to whether he has compensated or decompensated cirrhosis. If he has compensated cirrhosis, he is still a treatment candidate for hepatitis C. If he has predominant hepatitis B, he is a candidate for treatment even if his disease is decompensated. | ||||||||
