What year did they start giving HeptitisChildhood Vac.
Apr 7, 2001

I was born in 1956. I have never ween my immunization records from childhood. I know that I've never recieved a vaccination as an adult. I am not in the "high risk" groups but don't want to get any type anyway! How long does a vaccine last too?

Response from Dr. Rodriguez-Torres

The guidelines for HBV vaccination were reported in 1991.You were already an adult by then.HBV vaccine is safe and will provide almost permanent inmmunity. There is no vaccine for HCV.
