I wanted to know if a person who has antibodies level 50 are they considered someone who has seroconverted the Hep B *meaning they are cured*? Does this mean that once that person was chronic and then without treatment had their body rid of the virus?
Response from Dr. McGovern
If you are referring to surface antibody, levels greater than the cutoff of that particular laboratory will suggest protection. The absolute number varies from lab to lab. Surface antibodies are protective.
