Yes.You can die from any acute hepatitis,toxic or viral.Patients that develop hepatic failure during the first 2 weeks of disease, are considered to have fulminant hepatitis.The prognosis is poor but the cases are rare. You can also die if you develop cirrhosis and end stage liver disease.This occur in around 20% of all HCV and in 3% HBV.You can also die from hepatocellular carcinoma(cancer of the liver),as the incidence increases,with both HCV and HBV. | |||||||||
