anti hbs Jul 8, 2006 In my last test I obtained the following result: Hbs Ab <3.00 iu/l. Is this a negative result or does it mean that I have some antibodies in my body? Thanks |

 Your levels of protective antibodies against hepatitis B are low. If you are at high risk you may want to discuss with your provider. For example, if you were vaccinated in the past and you have a partner with chronic hepatitis B, I would want to give you a booster shot. If you had hepatitis B infection in the past, then I would do nothing since natural infection is protective against reinfection. | ||||||||
