hepatitis b
Jun 18, 2006

how often should you be vaccinated (eg. every 10 years) or once and your good for ever.

Response from Dr. McGovern

There are no recommendations for intervals for hepatitis B re-vaccination. What I would suggest is that if you have risks for acquiring hepatitis B (eg, have a partner with chronic hepatitis B) I would simply get your surface antibody test done to see if the levels are protective. If not, get a booster.
