test result
Jun 17, 2006

I was tested a few days ago, 104 days past my possible exposure (unprotected vaginal intercourse with woman of unknown status). HBV surface antibody negative, surface antigen negative, core antibody negative. HCV antibody test negative, had it run even though i am not too concerned with C as no blood no needles. Are my HBV tests good, or should I retest at a later date. Info is not real available on HBV window period.

Response from Dr. McGovern

The incubation period is about one to four month (160 days). One more test would be most conservative, although I think things look good for you now that you are past 104 days.
