Amplicor HCV Test
May 14, 2006

I have done my last PCR using Amplicor HCV Test version 2.0. This PCR is 1 year after tx. At 6 months I was svr. First non oficial results are in "grey zone" after retesting (same serum) I was proclaimed negative Does it mean I have some viral load <50 I(small amount of virus)?

Response from Dr. McGovern

It sounds like there was some confusion with how the first test was determined and the laboratory clarified the result with fixing their controls. If you were a SVR after six months, I strongly suspect you are still a SVR. (sustained virologic responder). I wouldn't pursue repeat testing.
