Apr 13, 2006

just a quick question. have been tested 2x once at 9 weeks post potential exposure and now at 15 weeks. tested for hepB and hepC. both non reactive. doctors did hep panel they said it checks for three panels. i also had my partner tested he also tested negative. do i need to test again at 6 months. very worried. please help. risk unprotected vaginal and oral sex. ive heard my testing is conslusive but others say no, who do i believe and when is testing conclusive. i need to move on!

thank you so much.

Response from Dr. McGovern

You are in the lucky situation of being able to have your partner tested. Often this is not the case.

If your partner is negative, you can move on. No further testing is needed.
