Is it safe? Dec 19, 2005 Dear sir, My wife was tested positive for chronic hepa b. She have undergone medication for 6mos already. I have 2 questions for this. First, her medication was injectibles and it cost a lot can she switch into tablets that are effectively equivalent to interferon? Secondly, can she also use contraceptive pills while taking this medication? Thank you so much for the help |

The last one is easy yes she can take birth control pills. There are also many medications that she can take by pill for the hepatitis B. Which ones depend on what country you are living in. You should also be vaccinated for HBV if you are not already immune. Good luck! DTD |
