please help me...
Sep 6, 2005

Dear Dr. DTD,

Please englighten me about my hepatitis b panel result and answer my question about this disease:

HBsAg w/Titer=Reactive Anti HBs=Non-reactive HBeAg=Non-reactive Anti HBe=Reactive Anti HBc IgG=Reactive SGPT=90 U/L

Based on my result, do I am inactive carrier or active carrier? Do I am safe to sex with a woman? What will I do with this kind of disease? Thanks a lot doctor... Btw, I am from Philippines.

Response from Dr. Dieterich

Clearly you have hepatitis B. However it is impossible to tell if you are contagious with knowing what the hepatitis B DNA result is. Ask your MD to get you that result and then we can talk! DTD
