|HBV Test Results
Aug 5, 2005
Hello Dr. McGovern, Please help me interpret my HBV test results. They are: HBsAG negative with negative reference, Hep B PCR Quant <500 copies/ml with <500 copies/ml reference, HBSA negative with negative reference, HBe Antibodies negative with negative reference, and HBe Antigen negative with negative reference. I have been on 10 mg Hepsera since Nov 03 and continue to take it. Do I need to continue taking 10 mg Hepsera? What is your recommendation? Thank you for your time and response.

If I understand all your results correctly it appears that not only have you cleared your virus but that you have seroconverted your surface antigen, which is wonderful.
You will need to discuss this with your physician to see if they wanted to continue your medication for any period of time before stopping, but all looks great to me. Congratulatons.
