| Hep C risk? Jul 30, 2005 Hello, I was accidently jabbed with a fork while eating breakfast with a group of friends. It was to the tricept area of my arm. I don't believe any bleeding happened. Is there any risk of getting Hep C from that? Thankyou for your time. |

Response from Dr. McGovern
Your risk of hepatitis C is basically nil. The risk of acquiring HCV is mainly through exposure to blood - injection drug use being the main risk. Sexual transmission of HCV is uncommon. Dr. McGovern | |||||||||
