Is Hepatitis C sexually tramsmitteded or on thru needles? Jun 16, 2005 As an HIV person, i was also diagnosed with Hep. C, type 3, a few yrs. ago & successfully completed treatment. I never was IV drug user and recently was told that Hep C cannot be transmitted sexaully. Is that true. In short, how can on get Hep. C? |

 HCV is a sexually transmitted disease among men who have sex with men. It is NOT transmitted sexually among monogamous heterosexuals. If you have sex with men, and you are a man, then that is how you got HCV. This is something that needs to be disseminated in the gay community, because it is another STD that people need to be aware of. DTD | ||||||||
