Response from Dr. McGovern

You have been exposed to hepatitis A and B in the past but they do not have any furhter impact since hepatitis A does not have long term chronic implications. Your hepatitis B was cleared as demonstrated by your negative surface antigen.

You have diffuse fatty liver and if you are overweight, you may want to discuss slow steady weight reduction with your physician. Fatty liver is not necessarily benign. If your liver function tests are abnormal (ALT, AST) I would recommend a baseline liver biopsy to be certain you do not have scarring.
