| Hepatitus Apr 30, 2005 Hello i have a good friend who said to me last week that his Doctor called him and had concerns about his liver and that it was Hepatitis and ask him did he drink he said no and the Doctor told him that it probably came from eating out and that shhe would run more test and that he would only need a shot and he would be okay. So i ask him days later when is he going to get the shot he replied when the the Doctor calls him i said i'm glad that's not my Doctor this story sounds fishy.... what do you think and how important is it if your Doctor have concerns about your liver and tells you that you have Hepatitus... shouldn't you get treated soon.. |

Response from Dr. McGovern
It can take time to sort out the degree of liver disease. There is usually no rush to treatment until everything is sorted out. The exception is acute hepatitis C (ie. recent infection of less than 4 months) Dr. McGovern | |||||||||
