|What are the odds? Acute HBV/HIV Testing
Mar 14, 2005
I have read that acute hepatitis can effect the seroconversion period for HIV. How often does this happen? A Non-IDU exposure to blood. 12 week rapid HIV negative, 13 week acute Hep panel negative including B Surface Antigen and core IGM, Hep C RNA undetectable. Liver function test in range at 16 weeks. How astronomical in an acute co-infection would nothng show up at 12 weeks? Also, how often would a liver function be mid range during at 16 week acute for hep b? I assume we can rule C out with the RNA test?

You can rule out everything. Stop worrying and be safe next time! DTD
