PLEASE ANSWER ME. ITS THE THIRD TIME. I NEED YOUR ANSWER.
Jan 1, 2005

Dear mrs McGovern, I am from greece and i need to know about the following results.

ANTI E (HbeAb) + HBsAg - CORE TOTAL (HbcAb total) + CORE M (HbcAb IgM) + ANTI S + HbeAg -

I was detected from hbv a year ago and that are the first results after six months.

Please answer me, im waiting for.

Response from Dr. McGovern

It appears from the core IgM test that you have recently acquired hepatitis B.

However, the good news is that your surface antigen is negative, so your body is clearing the virus and should not cause any chronic problems.

If you have not had testing for HIV - I would consider this too.

Dr. McGovern
