Is HEP B AND C, considered a stronger virus then HIV. I've read that HEP B & C survives for hours outside the body and HIV for less then a few minutes is that a fact. Is it easier to contract HEP then HIV. thanks

HIV, Hep.B and Hep.C are different.HIV and Hep.B virus are transmitted through blood and sexual contact. HCV is transmitted through blood and less commonly sexually.Hep. B is a DNA virus that replicates through a RNA intermidiate. The virus is complicated and encodes four genes: surface, core, pol and X, and give rise to multiple forms of proteins. It replicates very efficiently in the host and can reach titers of 10x9.virions per mil. Hep.C is a small virus of the flaviviridae family. It contains positive sense single-stranded RNA genome. The main characteristic of Hep.C virus is its genetic heterogeneity with up to 100 mayor subtypes. In the host the virus circulates as a mixture of "Quasispecies", this means a mixture of very similar but different genetic mutants. This differences in the genetic and structural composition explain the diverse survival features both to the environment and host defences.
