 There are actually very good treatments now for hepatitis B. I would first be certain that your hepatitis B virus is active by checking a hepatitis B DNA test. You will also want to discuss with your doctor a full panel on hepatitis B testing, whether a liver biopsy should be done, and whether you need an alfa feto protein blood test. Good therapies include lamivudine and adefovir - both of which are well tolerated. Dr. McGovern | ||||||||
