| chronic hep B and hiv Mar 17, 2004 i have just found out i am hiv pos with a viral load of 6000 and t cell count of under 100 i also have chronic hep B. with no symptoms but occ tiredness. my last blood work said neg for hep b what should i do next are some drugs not good for liver. also have just started on 3 drugs for the hiv- sustiva viread emtriva also bactrum daily and zythromax weekly |

Sounds like you are in good hands! Both emtriva(FTC) and viread(tenofovir) are very active against both HIV and HBV. You could not be on a better regimen. Whatever other HIV drugs you eventually switch to, you should stay on those two. Stay well, and good health to you! DTD | |||||||||
