|Herpes or Hepatitis?
Aug 4, 2003
1-Is herpes always infectious when you have an out break? 2- Is Hepititus B still infectious to other people if you had it 7 years ago?? 3- under these situations which one is easier or more likely to be transmitted to other people or are they about the same?
Response from Dr. Dieterich
Herpes is very infectious when you have an outbreak. Hepatitis B is a sexually transmitted disease but it depends if you had it and it went away or you became a carrier. You need to get tested for HBV to see if it is still active. The main thing is neither one can be transmited if you use condoms! Be safe! DTD
