GOOD DAY.THANKS FOR TAKING MY QUESTION.I AM A HEP B CARRIER WITH LAB RESULTS;HBSAG-POSITIVE,HBSAB-NEGATIVE,HBEAG-NEGATIVE,HBEAB-POSITIVE,HBCTOTAL-POSITIVE.MY DOCTOR SAID I MIGHT BE IN THE END STAGE RECOVERY.IS THIS TRUE.I HAVE NEVER TAKEN MEDS BECAUSE I WAS DIAGNOSED JUST 2 WEEKS AGO.SECONDLY,I AM A MEDICAL STUDENT.DOES THIS MEAN AS A HEP B CARRIER I CAN NOT BE EMPLOYED BECAUSE I AM A CARRIER OR WOULD EMPLOYERS DISCRIMINATE AGAINST ME.I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP.

Sounds like you already beat the infection. However you need to do a HBV DNA to make sure that there is no circulating virus. Just the presence of Surface antigen does not mean that you are infectious! Also employers cant discriminate against you unless you have transmitted the virus professionally. DTD
