| Urgent, 9 months pregnant --Pl. answer ASAP Dec 22, 2002 I am 9 months pregnant and have been diagnosed as a HEP B carrier as part of prenatal screening. My test results are : Surface AG +, Surface AB -, IGM non-reactive, Hep C & A -, anti-HBE +, HBV E antigen -. HBV DNA is 100,000 copies. All liver enzymes tests were normal. Nuclear testing -ve. Please explain what this all means?? Can I breast feed?? Am I harmful to my baby (Even after HBIG and 1st vaccine at birth?), My husband was -ve after 6 yrs of marriage and he received vaccine right away, he will be completing his 3rd vaccine this week. Thanks a lot |

Once your baby is vaccinated they should be fine, but you ask your pediatrician about this. You should also ask your MD after your give birth to evaulate your need for hepatitis B treatment. Sounds like you are receiving good medical care! Good luck with the baby! DTD | |||||||||
