I recently discovered I am pregnant and am concerned about recent Heb B tests which are very confusing. My results are as follows:

HBV DNA Qual - not detected; HB Surface Antigen - non-reactive; HB Surface Antibody Quant - <2 miu/ml; HB Core Antibody - reactive; Hep A IGM Antibody - non-reactive; Hep C Antibody - non-reactive.

My research shows that antibody values greater than 10 miu/ml indicates immunity. Does this mean I've been exposed previously, but am not immune because I don't have a high enough level of antibodies? If so, will I pass Hep B to my unborn child? Can I be vaccinated if necessary while pregnant or will the vaccines harm the child?

The negative HBs antigen indicates that you do not currently carry chronic hepatitis B and that this cannot be passed on to your child. The positive anti-HBcore suggests a possible previous natural exposure. If this is the case, even in the prsence of a low antibody titer, getting re-exposed to HBV would result in a protective antibody response. Check with your OB to confirm your results and implications for your pregnancy.
