fatty liver or what ? Jun 24, 2002 yes, i had a ultra sound done which revealed fatty liver i weighed 205 lost weight now 168 side still hurts and still looks swollen doctor did blood work he told me my iron and copper was up so he did gene test for the iron came back neg hcv rna neg also, dont drink or take pills, ? is what is going on liver alt is still up some and pain in the liver area also no gallstones on the ultrasound. thank larry |

 It sounds like you need to see a liver specialist and have a biopsy to measure copper and iron carefully in the liver itself. Make sure your MD is a liver specialist, if not travel to a big city where there is a liver center. Good luck! DTD | ||||||||
