At this point, when do you think Pegasys will become available?? I hear the end of 2002, is this true?

Yes,the drug should be available for mid-September to october 2002. That is unless FDA gives this drug fast track status and approves earlier. The recent data presented at the European Liver Diseases Congress, held 3 weeks ago, is dramatically better than anything we have available now. We need other alternatives for patients, that may be more reasonable in terms of cost, and more importantly, efficacy and safety. Hold on, only a few months more.I understand that contrary to recent experiences with other drugs, Pegasys will be very quickly in the pharmacies after aproval, and enough drug will be produced before then to satisfy the demand of so many patients that are waiting.
