| Hepatitis B and Vaginal fluids Jan 19, 2001 Dear Dr Dieterich Thank you for your great work. I recently have my first sexual encounter with a commercial sex worker in Southeast Asia. While I use a double layer (2) condoms on for sexual intercourse, I am not careful during foreplay. I rub her clitoris but did not insert my fingers into her. I am thinking that I did got vaginal fluids on my hands. I then rubbed her breasts with my fingers, and suck her breasts. I mistake and suck my fingers too. So I think I might get vaginal fluids in my mouth. I am not sure though. what is my risk level for hepatitis b? thank you very much sir. |

Response from Dr. Dieterich
That is very low risk behavior for contracting HBV. If you are worried, you should get vaccinated for HBV and then you cannot get it! Continue using condoms that will help too, although your choice of partners is not a low risk! Be careful! DTD | |||||||||
