what is hepatitis
Response from Dr. Fried
Hepatitis means "inflammation or irritation" of the liver. Many things can cause hepatitis from medications, to alcohol to viruses like hepatitis A, B, or C. Patients with hepatitis usually have elevated levels of liver enzymes which are measured by simple blood tests. If you think you have hepatitis, you should see your healthcare provider.
