 Absolutely! If someone has HCV they should be checked for antibodies for hep A and B and if negative vaccinated. Hepatitis A in particular can be deadly in HCV patients. The standard protocol for someone with HCV antibody is to do a genotype, a quantitative PCR, and ultrasound of the liver and most often to do a liver biopsy. DTD | ||||||||
