HCV in semen?

Does HCV reside in the semen? Is there a significant risk to receptive anal partners?

Yes there have been a few studies that showed the presence of HCV in semen.

Anal receptive sex can lead to hepatitis C infection - yes...

There been several reports now over the last several years that describe men who have sex with men getting acutely infected with HCV. This has been associated with the presence of ulcerative disease from STDs, like syphilis and also with traumatic sex.

Hepatitis B can be transmitted also - but there is a vaccine for this infection fortunately.
