Question:

Hi,

i am 23 for the last more than 3months there is no period so i am afraid is there any problem or lack of anything in my body pls guide me more info.

Mam, There are many reasons that could result in no period. It is important to get a pregnancy test if you are sexually active, even if you used birth control (nothing is 100%). Also, many times our body turns off the hormones we produce that result in a period when a women is under a lot of stress. Stress can be physical, like poor nutrition, infections or too much physical activity (exercise). It can also come from emotional stress like anxiety and depression.

Usually in time the body corrects the hormone imbalance when the stress is improved. I would highly recommend you see a practitioner for a gynecological (women's) exam. You might have an easily treated condition and your period will return as usual. Please take care and get in soon. Carol
