increased energy?
Nov 2, 1998

I've heard Spirulina, Chrysin and Tribulus terrestris extract can help to increase energy this true? and at what dosage/frequency?

thank you!

Response from Mr. Molaghan

Hello Many advertisements have alleged that Spirulina increases energy levels. Since these substances are not considered drugs (they are considered to be nutritional supplements) they are not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA),so there is very little data available regarding clinical trials of these supplements. I have worked with a few patients who take Spirulina and feel better, but this is only anecdotal experience. It is clear that we need more clinical trials (preferably double-blind studies) of these complimentary treatments to determine both safety and efficacy.
