Parvo virus
Feb 5, 1998

How do you get infected with this virus, what meds are they too take

Response from Mr. Molaghan

Parvovirus is transmitted through respiratory secretions and contaminated blood products (via blood transfusion). Vertical transmission (from mother to fetus) has also been well documented. Although the exact incidence of Parvovirus is unknown, several studies have shown that it is prevalent in many people with HIV disease and AIDS. The most dramatic symptom of this infection is profound anemia. Once the diagnosis has been made, patients are usually treated with intravenous immunoglobulin.

low body temperature
Quality of life - difficult decision.
