I was wondering about the effectiveness the home testing kits. If one should come back with an negative result, should it be trusted given that the last sexually contact was approximately 11 months ago? Also are there any references that you know of, that provide free testing or home kits, since I do not have a insurance provider? Other than the state government!
Response from Mr. Molaghan
Home testing kits have recently come under closer scrutiny due to a number or reported false negative reports with some products. You might find more detailed information if you submit this question to The Body's Safe Sex and Prevention Forum. Also, most cities offer free confidential or anonymous testing. Contact one of your local HIV/AIDS referral centers.
