Are the signs or symptoms of iron deficient anemia different from HIV related anemia? If so what are the symptoms of iron deficient anemia? Also what are the symptoms related to vitamin B-12 deficiency? Sorry to hit you with 3 questions, thanks.
Response from Mr. Molaghan
The symptoms of anemia vary with the degree and rate of red blood cell depletion. Individuals with mild anemia may have no symptoms. The symptoms of iron deficiency anemia, B-12 deficiency, and HIV related anemia are similar, unless the source of the iron deficiency is due to an acute bleeding problem. The most common signs of anemia include shortness of breath, heart palpitations, dizziness, and fatigue, pounding in the ears and pallor.
