Response from Dr. Frascino
Hi, Swelling in the ankles can result form a number of different causes -- cardiac problems, kidney problems, hormone problems, etc. I can't evaluate your specific problem over the Internet, but your HIV specialist will be able to do so during your visit next week. Assuming the swelling didn't occur rapidly (over the past few days) and that you aren't having other problems (difficulty breathing, cough, fever, etc.), you can wait to discuss this problem with your doctor next week. Good luck. Dr. Bob |
