Lymphocytes number meaning
Jan 25, 2005

I recently had a blood testand the numbers were 18.1 for the Lymphocytes (Low range) 69.5 for the Segmented Neutrophlis (high range). Is there a way to determine the T4 cell value from those numbers. Thank You

Response from Dr. Frascino

Hello,

Nope. Sorry. Knowing only the total lymphocyte count and/or neutrophil count, you cannot determine the T4 (CD4) cell count. This would require a very specific test that looks for a very specific marker on lymphocytes.

Hope that helps clarify things for you.

Dr. Bob
