| had to ask you yourself! May 28, 2004 Dr. Bob, Your wonderful! Perhaps the most wonderful answerer in this entire column website page. I heard that tipranavir and one tmc product might be the next two new products for hiv approval? Is this true or will it turn out to be such royal nonsense bull as t-1249? What do you say? Response from Dr. Frascino
Hello Mr. Hemingway, Ernest, is that you? Both tipranavir and TMC are in the pipeline. However, when the FDA will give their blessing for approval is always an open question. Unfortunately, the FDA is a government agency and our current government is not placing a very high priority on HIV/AIDS therapy. They appear to be more concerned with "abstinence only" prevention plans; "faith-based" treatment programs, and other political aspects of the epidemic. This is just one more reason for a "regime change!" Re-defeat Bush in November, so we can "liberate the FDA!" Dr. Bob |
