| Lymph Nodes & New Fill Feb 15, 2004 Hi again; Dr. Frascino, I once wrote to you regarding your New-Fill Dr. I went to the same one, and have gone through 2 episodes. I've been holding back on the 3rd due to my developing swollen lymph nodes (only on the left side - under my arms and up to my neck). The CT Scan indicated that my spleen was normal, and all the other lymphs were okay. I'm scheduled for a biopsy next week. Finally for my question: Do you think the New-Fill would have had any impact on this event? Do you think I should go ahead w/ my 3rd session w/ Dr. Echavez? My second session had me very swollen (especially on my left side). This is probably not related, but your the only one I could think of to ask. Thanks again for all your hard work, it's appreciated........ |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hi, I would strongly doubt it. Polylactic acid is biocompatible and immunologically inert. As for going ahead with your 3rd session, that's totally up to you and Dr. Echavez. I agree with you that these events are most likely not related, and consequently, proceeding with New-Fill would not be contraindicated. However, since New-Fill is an elective procedure, you could wait until you've had the other problem completely evaluated (biopsy, etc.). Keep me posted as to what happens and let me know if you have additional questions. Good luck. Dr. Bob |
