Hey Bob, I read that you took newfill injections to combat wasting. How is that working out in the long run? Was it worth the money? Your picture halfway through treatment looks pretty good (I'm straight) even though I hadn't seen you before that. Keep up your great work.

New-Fill is not a treatment for HIV wasting, which involves loss of lean body mass (muscle), but rather a treatment for lipoatrophy (fat loss) in the face.

Ive been very happy with my results, but as with all procedures, the skill, experience, and expertise of the plastic surgeon performing the procedure have a good deal to do with the outcome. Why did I have it done? Well, I really didnt mind wearing my AIDS battle scars in public, especially if it helped me educate others about this damned virus, but I really didnt like trying to shave in and out of the nooks and crannies. Also, several airport security folks told me I didnt look like my passport picture. New-Fill has returned the normal contours to my face. The picture on this site was taken when I was halfway through my injections. Since getting the injections, it seems like straight guys on this site have been saying they love me. Im still not sure low to explain that side effect of the treatment!
