|Words of appreciation...
Feb 7, 2003
Dr.Bob, I'm writing to let you know that I appreciate your concerns. I also wanted to thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I'd like you to know that I am not an irresponsible person. As far as my parental realtionship goes, the lines of communication remain respectfully closed. I've grown up in not only a religious, but also sheltered household. It's always been hard for my parents to accept the fact that I'm "growing up". But I always learn from my mistakes... Thanks again for your time and recommendations!
Response from Dr. Frascino
I could tell right away you were certainly not an "irresponsible person," because of your concern and very "responsible" attitude toward your situation. I certainly also understand your unfortunate circumstances of a "sheltered" childhood in a "religious" family. I'm sure your folks mean well, even though they are obviously quite out of touch with the young adult you are becoming. This is as unfortunate for them as it is for you! By "learning from your mistakes," you are demonstrating mature behavior that should serve you well in the future. Write back if you need additional advice.
A HUGE Thank You!
