| bio alcamid removal Oct 16, 2009 how is it removed.i had bio placed in my cheeks,and the result was uneven and lumpy. i tried having it removed but the surgeon can't seem to get it out..is there any way other than poking and squeezing. |

Hello, and thanks for posting. Unfortunately, this issue comes up occasionally and the treatment options are limited. Some clinicians have performed a formal skin incision and washed out the Bio-Alcamid with saline or hydrogen peroxide. Another approach is to perform an intraoral incision a try to remove the product through the mouth. This would depend on where in the face the contour irregularities exist. A facelift with removal of the Bio-Alcamid during the procedure is another approach that has worked. I hope that this information helps and best of luck to you! | |||||||||
