 Hello and thanks for posting. Here is a link to a recent post that briefly discussed this same question. In short, lipodystrophy was not really noticed before effective medications became available. But there may be some individuals who develop changes of lipodystrophy related to HIV itself, although data are lacking thus far. Sorting HIV-related lipodystrophy from weight loss and wasting in ill patients can be a challenge though. I will be in Amsterdam for a holiday starting tomorrow and look forward to visiting your wonderful country. | ||||||||
