Response from Dr. Pierone
Liposuction is a surgical option for the buffalo hump which is also known as a cervico-dorsal fat pad. The buffalo hump tends to reform in response to HIV medications. The HIV medications which have been most closely linked to the buffalo hump are protease inhibitors. So switching off a protease inhibitor-based regimen is important as well. Good luck! | ||||||||||
