Response from Dr. Henry
The decision to try plastic surgery is often a financial one with the outcome being determined by a number of individual variables. Both men and women have had satisfactory results from plastic surgery interventions. The procedures are usually well tolerated by HIV+ persons. There is little data yet in use of uridine (Nucleomaxx)with no data that I am aware of regarding pregnancy. A trial for 6-12 months while using protecttion against pregnancy may be reasonable to try for some patients who have significant lipoatrophy. KH | ||||||||||
