facial fillers over cheek bones?
Sep 18, 2008
Hi. I am considering getting scultpra injections. I have hollow spots under my cheeks and in the temple area. I am wondering if sculptra can also be injected over the cheek bones to add fullness? I have lost lots of fat in that area as well. Thanks for your advice!

Response from Dr. Pierone

Hello and thanks for posting.
Sculptra is a versatile agent and may be used to fill in hollow areas as well as accentuate normal structures like cheekbones. However, it does not produce immediate results, and requires a series of injections over time to achieve correction. There are studies underway to see how long the benefits last, but this product clearly produces long-term results.
I hope this information helps and best of luck!
