removing bio alcamid
Aug 16, 2008

hi there, i have been doing research on the removal of bio alcamid and can't seem to find answers. i've read terrible stories about ongoing problems and antibiotics, drainage etc. and then i've read of people saying simply they got it removed. can it mostly be removed and without disfigurement? can infections be taken care of ? i have 6ccs for 2 years. i'm ok but worried about the future. thank you.

Bioalcamid can be removed if the aesthetic outcome is not good or if infection is present

If an implant does become infected, effective treatment generally involves the administration of antibiotics along with removal of the implant. Any potential disfigurement would depend on the severity of the infection and size and location of the implant.

But if the implants are in proper position and not causing problems, then there is no reason to have them removed.

Good luck!
