|testicular cancer - should i be concerned
Mar 21, 2003
i am 17 years old and have a lump attached to one of my testes. However it is not located on the testicle but rather attached by a short thin strand (measuring about 1.5cm). the lump is pea-sized. Could this be testicular cancer? i have been told it cannot be as it is not actually on the testes - is this information reliable?!

The scrotum, the sac which contains the testicles, has a few strutures in it other than just the testicles. What you may be feeling is part of your normal anatomy. Alternatively, you could be feeling something which doesn't belong there. You should see your health care provider. S/He may order a testicular ultrasound which usually is the best test to sort out what you either do or do not have.
