worried well with swollen nodes-- suicide vs moving on.

Ihave so many symptoms dont know where to go i have swollen nodes inder the arms for 2 yrs only one can be felt it comes and goes never gets bigger in size, i have oral problems, urinary tract infections, seb dermatitis all this is happening to me after exposures 91-94 i have tested for hiv 1 ,2. The last hiv-1 test being last year and no exposures since 94. My doctor thinks I'm crazy to keep testing. He has refused to test me anymore. He said with all those tests I would have shown positive by now, but he is a small town dr so i think i might need a viral load or something to rule this out for sure im begging you to tell me what to do i have seriously considered suicide becuase I can't live like this anymore. Do I have HIV or should I move on even with all these clinical signs of HIV.

In general, we don't answer "worried-well" queries. Let me, however, comment about your lymph nodes since they seem to be plaguing you. I would recommend a torso CT scan (chest, abdomen, pelvis). If you have any significant lymph nodes, the CT scan should show them. If any lymph nodes look abnormal, it would be reasonable to have one biopsied given your systemic symptoms. Even if you don't get a diagnosis, it would buy you some peace of mind. I have sent many patients with stories like yours to the surgeon for lymph node biopsies; someetimes we find things, more often than not, we come up empty-handed.
As for your small town doctor-- it sounds like he's doing okay by you. You ask me if you "should move on". Indeed you should.
